Introduction

UKMT encourages mathematical reasoning, precision of thought, and influency in using basic mathematical techniques to solve interesting problems. Among many mathematical challenges organized by UKMT, their biggest competitions are the Junior, Intermediate and Senior Mathematical Challenge(JMC/IMC/SMC), which have over 700,000 students across the world part in The UKMT challenges.

The aim of these challenges is to encourage mathematical reasoning, precision of thought, and fluency in using basic mathematical techniques to solve interesting problems. The problems are designed to make students think. These challenges are highly regarded by top universities like Cambridge and Oxford, and bulk up the application for those top universities.
